The title “Cameron & Surplice” is a pun on “cassock & surplice”– two common pieces of ecclesiastical vesture.
The cassock is a full-length, black (unless you’re the Pope) garment that one wears under other vestments. The surplice is a white garment that goes over the cassock, and is usually (though not always) nice and billowy.
Basically, the name of this blog is just a terrible dad joke about vestments.
