2024 Stewardship Campaign: Many Members | One Body
For this campaign, inspired by Paul’s ecclesiology in 1 Corinthians 12, we ditched the traditional pledge card in favor of a trifold brochure. Our vision for stewardship emphasized the notion that stewardship is much more than one’s financial commitment– it’s about one’s full participation in the life of Christ’s body, the Church.
This campaign broke records for annual giving. We exceeded our pledge goal, with over $628k in pledges. And we nearly hit our set number of pledging units, with around 135 pledges by the official end of the campaign. Both marked significant increases over the year before (~$540k in pledges and 102 pledging units).

Youth Search Process Discernment Guide
This document is a guide that I put together for use by a search committee at Saint Luke’s, Birmingham. This particular search process not only included looking for candidates to fill a staff position, but also saw us shift to a completely new model for youth ministry that 1.) enable better ministry to our students, and 2.) would fit better into our existing staff structure. This guide was intended to explain our goals and outline how the new model would function. The vision for ministry evinced in this document still undergirds Saint Luke’s youth program even today (2024), and the core staff hired as a result of this search process are, as of May 2024, still employed in youth ministry at St. Luke’s– more than 5 years on.
